Hello and welcome to the Promoting Roles of Fathers Figures website.
The PROFF Group was formed after Home School Partnership organised a Campcraft activity with a group of male carers and their children from the Calderside and John Ogilvie Learning Communities in South Lanarkshire.
They identified a need for adult male specific programmes to encourage father figures to positively engage with their children.
The group took part in a range of outdoor activities with their children which, given the level of interest, demonstrates that father figures are committed to supporting their children when given the right opportunities.
PROFF is committed to providing opportunities for father figures to highlight just how important the involvement of father figures can be to their children’s future prospects. The activities support father figures to be positive male role models.
In November 2010 the PROFF Committee was formed.

This video provides a short introduction to three of the projects Promoting Roles of Father Figures (PROFF), Me and My Dad (MAD), and Dad’s Do Dinner Larkhall Academy that have successfully engaged a range of father figures in their own children’s learning. Click HERE to view the video
